Mr Nixon is attempting to teach his drama class after another horrible day at whitewall; he is clearly annoyed and tired. Hobby and Gail then come on stage hyper and loud! Mr Nixon is sat on a chair whilst Hobby and Gail are standing either side of him looking over him. Maybe this was done to to show how Mr Nixon could have been slightly intimidated by the girls with the use of levels.Mr Nixon starts shouting at other children to get down from bookshelves...etc, completely ignoring Gail and Hobby whilst they are frantically seeking his attention. Towards the end the girls get more impatient and start bulleting one word sentances one after another, as well as making up stories to get Mr Nixons attention. I think this shows how they were starting to get impatient and how he had no energy to respond to the muttering girls, after a tough day at whitewall! In the end Mr Nixon ends up shouting to tell everyone to be quiet and settle down. Perhaps this is done to show how everything over the day at whitewall has finally built up and he couldn't take it anymore. It emphisizes how bad and stressfull teaching at whitewall must be :)!!!!

Beginning Blocking
The blocking we have created so far shows the hectic nature of Whitewall High School. We intended to show that the school had a lot of problems, the students caused trouble and the teachers were not happy to be teaching there. For example, at the beginning, there is a sudden rush of people on stage as teachers. There is choral speaking such as 'Morning' and 'Stop running Simon Patterson!' The 'Morning' is said flatly to show that the teachers are not looking forward to a day at teaching at Whitewall. Another time that shows our intentions, is as Hobby talks about how Whitewall is in a special priority area and has it's fair share of problems. Everyone runs on stage and becomes a character that shows an aspect of the behavior that goes on. Some become girls gossiping, others begin to smoke and some are dragging people across the floor. Those things don't happen at a normal school so this shows how frantic the school is and lets the audience know what happens at Whitewall.
